2017 Workshops

Times for workshops will be announced prior to the event date.

10 AM Opening Ceremony
Our opening ceremony will honor Mother Earth and the many other Earth Goddess’s around the world. After the ceremony create your own “corn dolly” to keep the spirit of the harvest safe over the winter months.
Presented by: Teresa Hedgewife
Bio:Teresa is a Heathen Hedge witch and has been participating in Savannah PPD since 2003. This year she will sponsor a workshop to honor Mother Earth by creating Harvest Corn Husk Dollies. Stop by and create harvest dolls for your hearth!

11AM Music and Spellwork
How can certain types of music help with spellwork and what kinds of music can harm it?
Presented by: Stevie
Bio: He was born and raised in GA. He comes from a very spiritual background with a strong belief in Deity, not the universe, but Deity. And he walks to the beat of a very different drum that sings to his heart and soul every day. To him spellwork and stepping into circle goes hand-in-hand. His grandmother on his dad’s side taught him the ins-and-outs of hoodoo and the grandmother on his mother’s side taught him how to commune with Spirit. He has been a pagan and a witch for over 20 years and believer that you never stop learning the ways of Deity.

12PM Wand Making
Wands are portable and do not require an altar or sacred space for operation. Wands can obviously be purchased, but for those who prefer to work with the energies of nature, it is often nice to make your own. During this workshop, we will learn a way of making one of your own using natural materials.
Presented by: Ogregod
Bio: TBA
Workshop is free to attend, but there is $5 Supply Fee if you would like to make your own wand.

*** Child Friendly & Recommended***
1PM Harvest Dollies, Creating and Empowering
We will create corn husk dollies and discuss their use as a means of capturing the spirit of the harvest. A short spell will be used to empower our dollies.

2PM Spirit Dolls & Poppet Magic
A poppet is a life-like figure or doll made to represent a person or animal and is used in ritual, magic and spell-craft to effect change through the application of sympathetic or imitative magic. A doll is like an talisman, or an altar statue – its energy starts and grows with the creator, and after it is made the owner also adds his/her own energy. When used in ritual poppets can also represent various aspects of the Goddess and God. In this workshop you will create your own beautiful spirit dolls or poppets.
Presented by: Libitina
Bio: TBA
Supplies Provided.

3PM Brief History of the Drum
In this workshop, Ogregod will discuss a brief history of the drum, its uses in ritual, the basics of drumming, and how to drum on a budget.
Presented by: Ogregod.
Bio: A musician for 29 years, he has had training in several types of music from classical, world music, blues, metal and electronic. Through his practice of shamanism and sorcery he studied the drum and its uses in ritual. A strong advocate in the homemade percussion, he believes the magic comes from the creation of your own instrument.

5PM Closing Ceremony
Closing ritual, Blot (Heathen ceremony) to honor the god Thor.

Even though our planet and environments have been polluted and disrespected you can get back on the right track by healing yourselves and promoting a sacred life via healing products. I struggled many years with trying to figure how to add sacredness to mylife in the mists of a hectic and non connected world. I found this sacredness through herbal healing, beautiful jewelry and working with my hands via DiY Crafting. I feel nothing connects you back to your mother earth more then working with your hands and creating.
